Charles Garbarino, author of "Pediatrician Soldier", fulfilled his lifelong dream by becoming a pediatrician and helping children. His signature - clown nose, twirly hat and lollipops - earned him the affectionate nickname of 'Dr. Charlie' .

His life adventures continued when he became an Army Medical Corp Officer and with compassion cared for the soldiers and their children. 

COL Garbarino has been a member of our armed forces for over twenty years and has been deployed for Operation Iraqi Freedom (2003,2005) and for Operation New Dawn (2011) 

Dr. Charlie is a Board Certified Pediatrician in New Jersey and a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics.

Charles lives with his wife Lydia in New Jersey.
